The Return of Nagash<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">As can be deduced from the title of the novel, in this first book we witness the return of the most terrible enemy of mortal peoples.&nbsp;<strong>Nagash<\/strong>&nbsp;, neither more nor less&nbsp;!&nbsp;This means, as expected, that the novel features the forces of undeath in particular, led by vampires and necromancers, and&nbsp;<strong>Manfred Von Carstein<\/strong>&nbsp;stands out among them , a character who appears in the story as someone deranged and who he only seeks to demonstrate what he is capable of doing, thus freeing himself from the long shadow of his last name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>The Empire<\/strong>\u00a0will be the other great protagonist of this novel by\u00a0<strong>Josh Reynolds<\/strong>\u00a0.\u00a0The men and women who fight in the name of the warrior god\u00a0<strong>Sigmar<\/strong>\u00a0will do everything in their power to stop the threat posed by the undead, and they will do so as the greatest army ever assembled by\u00a0<strong>Chaos<\/strong>\u00a0, led by\u00a0<strong>Archaon<\/strong>\u00a0, descends. from the Northern Wastes with the intention of razing the lands of men completely.\u00a0What hope is left before two threats as unstoppable as those?\u00a0Will there be someone capable of leading the fight against darkness?<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"BOOK_2_The_Fall_of_Altdorf\"><\/span>BOOK 2. The Curse of Khaine<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gav Thorpe<\/strong>&nbsp;is the author of this book, the third in the series and also the worst, by far.&nbsp;The novel, very unrelated to the previous two, narrates the events that take place among the elves during the terrible crisis that has led to the advance of&nbsp;<strong>Chaos<\/strong>&nbsp;.&nbsp;Many High Elf, Dark Elf, and Wood Elf characters&nbsp;<strong>appear<\/strong>&nbsp;throughout&nbsp;the story, most notably&nbsp;<strong>Malekith<\/strong>&nbsp;, King of the&nbsp;<strong>Dark Elves&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>,<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Teclis<\/strong>&nbsp;, powerful High Elf Archmage.<strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The problem with the novel, however, is that&nbsp;<strong>Thorpe<\/strong>&nbsp;seems intent on twisting and altering the very narrative of the Elven people, as well as the conflicts that led to&nbsp;<strong>The Secession.&nbsp;<\/strong>Due to this, and to the forced history written by&nbsp;<strong>Thorpe<\/strong>&nbsp;, we will find ourselves throughout the novel with a&nbsp;<strong>Malekith<\/strong>&nbsp;who stands as a hero and the only hope of salvation for the race of elves, with&nbsp;<strong>Teclis<\/strong>&nbsp;as his main support and ally, with the hitherto heroic&nbsp;<strong>Tyrion<\/strong>&nbsp;as the sinister enemy to defeat, with the noble&nbsp;<strong>Imrik<\/strong>&nbsp;as a traitor to his people and with endless other nonsense, whose culmination will be the battle between a&nbsp;<strong>Malekith<\/strong>white and luminous and a dark and bloodthirsty&nbsp;<strong>Tyrion<\/strong>&nbsp;, as if these characters had interchanged their roles in an incomprehensible way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is, in short, an expendable and forgettable novel.&nbsp;Very much in line with what&nbsp;<strong>Gav Thorpe<\/strong>&nbsp;has accustomed us to , by the way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"BOOK_4_The_Rise_of_the_Horned_Rat\"><\/span>BOOK 4.
