Commissioning Process

We keep reference tables so you can gauge the ballpark cost of your project.

We'll build a detailed quote from the info you send to info@starbrushstudio.com or, ideally, through our contact form.

Once received, we can iterate on the quote until it fits your needs.

We handle conversions in two ways:

1. You request specific conversions upfront — the exact conversion cost is itemised in the quote.
2. You want us to paint a squad, regiment or army with occasional conversions — we add 15% of the total to the quote to cover conversion work.

We need the miniatures to paint them, and there are two options:

• You send them to us.
• We buy them for you.

We recommend the second option: you save outbound shipping, we occasionally get a discount, we start work sooner and we make sure the parts arrive ready.

We don't charge commission on miniatures we buy — we just add their cost to the quote.

If you send them in, please pack them well. If something breaks in transit, don't worry — we fix it at no extra cost.

We strongly recommend including an inventory of everything you send us; we'll check and confirm it on arrival to avoid any misunderstandings.

We usually take 2 to 4 weeks from the moment the miniatures arrive. Timelines shrink on small orders and stretch on very large ones — we'll always be upfront.

Bear in mind that shipping itself can add delays.

When we're done we prepare a photo gallery so you can review the finished order before shipping and give us your final OK. Once the remaining 50% is paid, we ship.

We give a 60-day window to pay after completion. If we hear nothing in that time, we assume the miniatures become property of Starbrush Studio.

We're flexible — if you know a trip or unexpected expense will delay you, tell us and we'll work something out.

We accept bank transfer, Bizum and PayPal.

Full payment must be settled before shipping, including shipping fees, which we quote once we know the parcel size.

Remember: the final 50% must be paid within 60 days of project completion. Past that, miniatures become property of Starbrush Studio.

Shipping cost depends on size, weight and destination. We share the figure before the final payment. We always ship tracked couriers.

We pack and protect miniatures individually with the right materials: dedicated boxes, bubble wrap, polystyrene as an immobiliser… For large orders we split units across boxes with the same procedure and consolidate them in a bigger outer box, always insulated and immobilised.

We make sure nothing can move under impact. The box arrives fully sealed on every edge.

While the miniatures are with us, Starbrush Studio is responsible for them. Once they leave the workshop, we're not liable for what may happen in transit.

That said, if anything is damaged on arrival, don't worry — we can fix it at no cost (beyond shipping). In many cases you'll be able to repair it yourself and we'll guide you via email, WhatsApp or video call.

Leftover sprue parts and extra components are not returned, unless you request otherwise when asking for the quote.

We don't share our painting techniques or secrets, but we understand you may want to paint the rest of the army yourself and match the scheme, so we're happy to tell you which colours we used.

Starbrush Studio reserves the right to amend a quote that was drafted incorrectly due to spelling, syntax, arithmetic or other errors — always with justified reason.

We don't run ads or hold agreements with any brand. We only paint, sell and mention them on our blog and site; every brand belongs to its respective owner.
